Kemya (Sabic)

Here is the description of the tasks carried out during the Kemya Turnaround 2024 

I have been the part of Kemya turnaround 2024 LLDPE plant. The southern Rock is the contractor to do the replacement of cement lined pipe spools. The activity carried in Reactor 1, Reactor 2, Recovery, Finishing Area and the Catalyst Area. 

The work carried out in two phases. 

1. Pre fabrication as per site measurements and cement lining (From July 2024 to Nov 2024)

2.  Execution phase. (From Nov 2024 to Dec 2024- 6 days window)

The work follows.

In the pre fabrication time, 

• Coordinating for the site measurement as per given drawing

• Procurement of material under contractor scope as per given BOQ from the project engineer

• Collection of material under Kemya scope from the Kemya Warehouse

• Complete responsibilities for the Manpower and Plant ID process

• • Conducting the preliminary round of interview (400+)

• • Creating and managing the master datasheet with all necessary details. 

• • Coordinating for the client interview from different departments (Riggers, Technicians)

• • Managing the contractor employee passports for the clients at our and other contractor facility.

• • Arranging and tracking the safety induction program for the all the employees.

• • Conducting medical examinations for all selected employees

• • Processing the ID papers with necessary documents such as Muqeem, passport, Chamber etc.

• • Completing the approvals and tracking in the Master data sheet. 

• • Closely coordinating with the GRO for printing the ID. 

• Planning and mobilization of followings. 

• • Inspected pipe spools after painting and the cement lining to the laydown area

• • Temporary office facilities and ablution facility

• • The complete equipment such as generators, welding generators tower lights etc.

• • Coordinating to complete the third-party inspections to the equipment and the tools.

• Extended Support for the QC department for preparing ITPs, Procedures, Coordinating Third party DPT, RT, and the Hydrotest from the client side.

During the execution of the project,

• Handled Finishing area and catelyst area in the day shift explicitly.

• Managing the time sheet of both shift.

• Arranging the gatepass for the mobilization of daily utilities such as food, water and required tools.
