Project Contribution
Played a key role in the successful execution of the Kemya Turnaround 2024 for the LLDPE Plant, where Southern Rock Contracting carried out the replacement of cement-lined pipe spools in Reactor 1, Reactor 2, Recovery, Finishing Area, and Catalyst Area. The project was executed in two major phases: pre-fabrication and cement lining (July 2024 to November 2024), followed by the shutdown execution phase (November 2024 to December 2024) within a critical 6-day window.
Coordinated site measurement activities as per issued drawings to support accurate pre-fabrication of cement-lined pipe spools.
Managed procurement of contractor-scope materials in line with the BOQ provided by the Project Engineer.
Coordinated the collection of client-supplied materials from the Kemya warehouse under client scope.
Took full responsibility for manpower mobilization and Plant ID processing for the project workforce.
Conducted preliminary screening interviews for 400+ candidates to support large-scale manpower deployment.
Created and managed the master manpower datasheet, ensuring accurate tracking of approvals, documentation, and mobilization status.
Coordinated client interviews for multiple disciplines, including riggers and technicians.
Managed employee passport control and coordination for client processing at both Southern Rock and other contractor facilities.
Arranged and tracked safety induction programs for all selected employees before site mobilization.
Coordinated medical examinations for deployed manpower and ensured compliance before ID processing.
Prepared and processed all required Plant ID documentation, including Muqeem, passport, Chamber documents, and related approvals.
Closely coordinated with the GRO to complete approval processes and ensure timely printing and release of Plant IDs.
Planned and coordinated the mobilization of temporary office facilities and ablution facilities for site operations.
Oversaw movement and readiness of major project equipment, including generators, welding generators, tower lights, and related site utilities.
Coordinated third-party inspections for equipment and tools to ensure project compliance and readiness.
Inspected and tracked pipe spools after painting and cement lining up to laydown area readiness.
Extended support to the QC department in preparation of ITPs, procedures, and coordination of third-party DPT, RT, and hydrotesting with the client side.
During execution, directly handled Finishing Area and Catalyst Area activities on the day shift.
Managed timesheets for both day and night shifts during the execution phase.
Arranged daily gate passes for mobilization of essential utilities such as food, water, and required tools during shutdown execution.
