Contributed to multiple shutdown projects at Hadeed, formerly under SABIC, across key production areas including the Hot Strip Mill (HSM), Rod Mill 2, and DR Module C – Reformer Area. Over the course of these shutdown assignments, progressed through different responsibilities as Material Coordinator, Supervisor, and Project Engineer, gaining practical exposure in shutdown planning, material control, field supervision, team coordination, and execution management. These assignments strengthened hands-on capability in fast-track industrial shutdown environments where coordination, timely decision-making, and site readiness are critical for successful completion.
Role: Project Engineer
Period: April 2024 – May 2024
Worked as Project Engineer during the shutdown in Direct Reduction Module C – Reformer Area, taking a more advanced role in coordination and execution support. Involved in planning and monitoring shutdown activities, coordinating with internal teams and site personnel, other contractors working within the area and supporting smooth execution of work fronts within the shutdown schedule. Provided operational and technical coordination to ensure resources, materials, and site activities were aligned with project requirements. This role reflected progression into higher responsibility within shutdown project execution, combining field coordination, planning support, Risk Managment and execution monitoring.

Served as Supervisor during the Rod Mill 2 shutdown, covering activities in the Mill Area, BGV Gear Box, and Finishing Area. Supported field execution by supervising workforce activities, monitoring job progress, and ensuring work was carried out in line with shutdown priorities and site requirements. Coordinated with execution teams to maintain workflow continuity, resolve site-level issues, and support timely completion of assigned shutdown works. This assignment further developed practical site supervision skills in a demanding steel plant shutdown environment.

Worked as Material Coordinator during the shutdown activities in the Finishing Mill area of Hadeed HSM. Supported the project team by coordinating materials required for shutdown execution, ensuring timely availability, tracking movement, and maintaining proper control of issued and received items. Played an important role in aligning material flow with site requirements to avoid delays during execution. This role required close coordination with site teams, stores, and project personnel to maintain smooth shutdown progress in a time-sensitive environment.
